Meal of the Week: Razor Hill Pulled Pork

One of my favorite things to do here in Stormwind is to bring tastes of home to people who have never experienced it. Most of you know I’m originally from Silvermoon, but I spent a lot of time in both Brill and outside of Orgrimmar. And sometimes, man do orcs know how to eat.

On Durotar, one thing that there are plenty of is boar. So pork is a huge stable in Durotar orcish cuisine. When you head a bit south though, you come to Razor Hill, a perfect melting pot of Darkspear Trolls and Orcs. With it, comes a delicious mix of trollish spices and orcish meats that everyone needs to experience at least once.

Mmmm pig…

Meal of the Day: Lordaeron Surprise!

EDIT – Updated with Gnomish measurements as well as Goblin. Sorry, I learned with Goblin.

So this one is a little later than I wanted it to be? Why? Because yesterday was Hallow’s End. Oh my Light, I’ve never experienced a Hallow’s End before — well. I mean. I kinda had? But it was mostly running in fear from the people acting weird and suddenly there’s a fucking Horseman??

I could go on and on about Hallow’s End — and maybe I will! But for now, my apologies for the lateness. Apparently they weren’t joking when they said if you ate too much candy you’d get sick.

But what I actually wanted to talk about was this. I call it Lordaeron Surprise.

Meal of the Week: Shal’dorei Pink Mana-Tea

So a trip close to home introduced me to a new recipe, Pink Mana-Tea. This stuff is delicious, but damn if it isn’t an ordeal to make. I spoke with Matron Faelra Daete’tiirn and her bodyguard, Vanaste Glannath and they tell me that the proper word is ‘ritual’. Whatever, ‘ordeal’ ‘ritual’ –  semantics, this thing is a bitch to make. The end result is worth it though.

Brewfest Special! Beer Cheese

So last week we made pretzels, and you can’t have pretzelsn wtihout something to dip them in! Since it’s brewfest, that only leaves one option: BEER CHEESE.

Laugh away, but these words literally left my mouth this week: Why do all the brewfest recipes involve booze? Come on Jax. Come on.

Oh man though. So much booze. I don’t know if you’ve met me, but I am not that big. I cannot hold my liquor. And this week… so much booze.

Brewfest Special! Dun Morogh Sausages

So this one is kind of a one-off because… I mean, I didn’t make these. I assembled them, which, yes, I know hold your applause. But with all the special foods we’re making at the Keg to celebrate Brewfest, grinding my own sausages is just kinda not necessary!!

Delicious pork, fresh sesame buns, topped with all kinds of condiments. Come on down to the Golden Keg! I recommend the beer cheese and onions topping, though my personal fallback is always mustard and pickled veggies. Super good with a nice foamy ale.

Brewfest Special! Soft Pretzels

Ok. Let’s you and me have a chat. Cooking is one thing, it’s like art. Sure you can use a references, you can follow someone else’s style exactly and that’s totally valid especially when you’re learning. But then you start to develop your own flair and you don’t have to use references anymore. Continue reading “Brewfest Special! Soft Pretzels”
