Sweet potatoes, cinnamon, sugar and toasted mallows. Is there anything more delicious in the world as a side? Vibrant orange with a crunchy crust of goblin marshmallows, these are easily one of my favorites for Pilgrim’s Bounty.

This is my absolute favorite time of year. I think I’ve touched on this a few times before, but up until about April of this year, I spent the previous three or four years of my life homeless and scrounging for food on the streets of Silvermoon (and eventually Brill, Org and before Jaina and had her flunkies wake me up at 3am with a wand in my face and lots of screaming, Dalaran).
But one thing I could always count on was Pilgrim’s Bounty. There was always so much food. Just everywhere, beautiful, delicious, limitless food and no one looked at me funny for eating as much as I could literally stomach or more than ‘my fair share’. Hey everyone!
As you may have noticed, there is no recipe this week. Why is that? Did I forget to cook?
FEL no I love eating you think I’d forget to cook?! That’s crazy talk.
No, the real reason is I’m cooking SO MUCH. Pilgrim’s Bounty is next week, and as someone who has spent way too much time without enough to eat, it is seriously my favorite holiday.
So in preparation for next week, I’m taking a break today.

So Hallow’s End is over and there are just so many pumpkins everywhere. What do you do?! You EAT them that’s what!

The crystal crackles to life, the sound of movement around a room, simple chores and light cleaning.
“Dear You… It’s been a week. Normally I wouldn’t worry but. I dunno. It’s… This week has been weird. And I have a really weird feeling that something bad is about to happen. Or something good is going to dissolve or… I think the Human phrase is I’m waiting for the shoe to drop. It doesn’t really make much sense, it’s more like waiting for a manabomb to explode, I guess.

So this one is a little later than I wanted it to be? Why? Because yesterday was Hallow’s End. Oh my Light, I’ve never experienced a Hallow’s End before — well. I mean. I kinda had? But it was mostly running in fear from the people acting weird and suddenly there’s a fucking Horseman??
I could go on and on about Hallow’s End — and maybe I will! But for now, my apologies for the lateness. Apparently they weren’t joking when they said if you ate too much candy you’d get sick.
But what I actually wanted to talk about was this. I call it Lordaeron Surprise.
The Crystal starts with frustrated growling, uncharacteristically heavy footfalls treading a line in the floor.
“I can’t breathe. I can’t sleep. I can’t eat. I don’t… know what’s wrong with me. I’ve been fine. I’ve been fine! I haven’t done anything wrong I –“
The sound of pacing, back and forth, back and forth, rapid, shallow breathing.
AKA Punishment Noodles
Not gonna lie, these are kind of my favorite thing right now. Not to eat, oh Light no. But to watch others eat.
So what you’re looking at is Pandaren noodles in a very spicy broth, accented with, soy, fish sauce and pho seasonings and more Pandaren red spice. Extra onions and topped with peanut-butter cups.
In celebration of me getting shot in the fucking stomach. Never forget.
